One of the most popular webcomics is coming to small screens as an animated series thanks to Apple TV+. Welcome to the Strange Planet, enjoy the whimsy!

If you ever happen to scroll your feed on social media, you've definitely come across Nathan W. Pyle's goofy and cute webcomic called Strange Planet. For quite a few years now, the Internet's been enjoying the little interactions between aliens that are so distinct yet so alike to us humans.

Strange Planet is a kind and quirky comic about the alien species that deal with the same feelings, struggles, and choices that we do — they just describe them in a fun and absurd way. Their concepts are very much based on the way things work, not the way they are perceived traditionally by us. They are no different, though, as they, too, love their own little space dogs and need each other to feel happy.

Through the hilarious and on-point commentary of the inhabitants of the Strange Planet, we can take a look at our own reality from a new perspective. The aliens mix ridiculing familiar concepts in unexpected ways and warming your heart by forming weird sentences that highlight what's truly important in our lives. Strange Planet is one big Live Laugh Love, but if it was cute instead of cringy.

"What if our world isn't the only one where existence is absurd?" Nathan W. Pyle asks his readers and himself, and now, Apple TV+ joins the author in his search for the answer. No one expected that, but here we go: the new animated series Strange Planet has been announced by Apple.

The first season of the series is set to release on August 9: that's when Strange Planet's first three episodes will be dropped. After that, a new episode will be released once a week on Wednesdays until the end of September when the final episode is scheduled to come out.

If you have no idea what we've been talking about, we definitely recommend you check out the Strange Planet comics first: they are simply adorable, and we believe you'll fall in love with them just as we did.
