You hear "Mia Thermopolis", and you immediately think "Lilly Moscovitz." Those two are inseparable!

We know plenty about Anne Hathaway 's career, but what has Heather Matarazzo been up to?

Well, the same year The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement came out, Heather notably starred in 2004's Saved! (which also featured her "royal" colleague, mean girl Mandy Moore) and in 2007's Hostel: Part II.

After an appearance in 2000's Scream 3, Matarazzo made a comeback to the franchise in 2022.

Mia's best friend has also had her fair share of TV roles. You could have seen her in Exes and Ohs, Law & Order, Grey's Anatomy, and many more shows.

Heather is an open lesbian (she came out in 2004) and uses she/her/they/them pronouns. She got engaged to musician Caroline Murphy in 2008, but things didn't work out, and the couple split four years later, in 2012.

It took the actress another six years to find her one true love, and in 2018, she tied the knot with comedian Heather Turman. Please tell us that one of them has changed (or plans to) their last name!

By the way, the actress is now 40 years old and looks absolutely stunning!

In 2021, she took to TikTok to answer the fans' most pressing question about her character in The Princess Diaries – what does she think of Lilly now and what did she think then?

Heather explained that her feelings and opinions as a teenager were different from the ones she had as an adult (well, duh!).

She expressed her love for the character, saying that she adored how "self-aware" Lilly was when she was "in the wrong."

Matarazzo went on to discuss the reasoning behind Lilly's behavior sometimes, which was usually the fear "of losing her best friend" (something we have all probably experienced at some point).

The actress also acknowledged that her character was problematic at times and even "said some real sh*t," referring to the infamous grief-is-overrated scene where Lilly thought that two months was more than enough time for Mia to get over the fact that her dad died.

Heather called it a "cringeworthy moment," and we couldn't agree more!

Well, thank you, Heather, for giving it to us straight. Where is Princess Diaries 3? We've been waiting for decades…
