Squid Game S2 Cast Update Fixes The Mistake That Had Fans Rioting
After facing a massive backlash from the fans for its previous update on Squid Game, Netflix fixed the issue and presented the new actor for season 2.
Squid Game took the world by storm and became one of the biggest cultural phenomena of recent years.
The South Korean show about the brutal realities of modern society wrapped in a fancy fabric of bright colors and kids' games became Netflix 's most-watched series ever throughout the entire world in mere days.
It's only logical that there are millions of people across the globe that are eager for the second season of Squid Game. If you're one of them, it's a great day for you: Netflix recently shared some exciting news about the future of the series.
Initially, the streaming platform made an announcement at its annual fan convention Tudum, but the fans weren't happy: the new cast Netflix shared with the world was male-only, and the audience was understandably confused by this decision after the brilliant female characters we saw in the first season of Squid Game.
Now, the company fixed its mistake and shared the full list of new additions to the cast of the show after adding female leads.
The new Squid Game players that we know of so far are: Lee David, Roh Jae-Won, Lee Jin-Uk, Park Gyu-Young, Choi Seung-Hyun, Kang Ae-Sim, Jo Yu-Ri, and Won Ji-An.
By this point, we have no additional details about the new characters, but this can be said about the entirety of season 2.
Apart from what we saw in the first season, there was no new information released regarding the plot of the sequel.
The protagonist and winner of the previous Squid Game, Gi-Hun, will most likely continue on his newly-found quest to stop the Game once and for all; the same can be said about Jun-Ho who was confirmed to have survived at the end of season 1.
Potentially, the two main characters will team up in some way to improve their chances of finding out the truth behind the real masters of Squid Game and destroying the world's most brutal show once and for all, but we are yet to receive the official confirmation of this or any other theory about the events of S2.
