Spider-Man: No Way Home Plot Holes That Need To Be Fixed
Spider-Man: No Way Home is definitely a thrilling movie in many ways, but that doesn't mean it's perfect, as many questions still remain unanswered.
As we remember, Peter Parker decides to make the whole world forget he ever existed, including his friends MJ and Ned, but fans still don't understand exactly how this spell works.
If Doctor Strange erased Peter Parker's memories, what happened to all the material associated with him? What fans are most interested in is what happened to Flash Thompson's Spider-Man book.
It would make sense that the book would disappear so that no one could read who Spider-Man is. But at the same time, in one of the frames, it is clear that MJ is still wearing the necklace that Peter gave her.
This suggests that the same events happened in the past, and the only thing that has changed is the lack of memory of Peter. And if the past has not changed, then it is logical to assume that the book was written and did not disappear.
The screenwriters of the movie commented on this situation at the IGN Fan Fest.
"We deliberated a lot. Is it going to be like a Back to the Future kind of thing? Or are people going to be disappearing from photos?
Are physical objects going to be disappearing? All these things. And like Chris said, ultimately, we decided that it would take so much time and real estate in the movie to explain all of that," Erik Sommers said.
Another plot hole that has haunted fans is the question of how Dr. Octopus found out that Norman Osborn was the Green Goblin.
Only Peter Parker, Bernard the Butler, and Harry Osborn knew the identity of the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi 's films. The movie does not explain Otto Octavius' sudden insight, and fans are still hoping for an answer to this mystery.
In addition, the fans do not understand at all what Electro is doing in the movie.
Doctor Strange made it clear that only those who knew that Peter Parker was Spider-Man entered this universe. Electro himself says that he thought Spider-Man was Black and is very surprised to find out that he is not.
The most likely explanation for this is that such a large number of characters from different universes simply confused the scriptwriters, and they could not take into account all the smallest details when writing the script.
However, fans are hoping to get answers to at least some of their questions in the upcoming movies.
