Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Mysteries We Hope Will Be Solved In The Next Movie

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is an outstanding animated film that pays homage to Spider-Man fans and is jam-packed with cameos and unexpected twists.

However, a lot of things still stay unresolved as Miles sets off on his most difficult multiverse adventure.

Here are the movie's biggest mysteries that we hope will be solved as we keep up with Miles Morales and his crew.

Miguel's Backstory

In Across the Spider-Verse, we see many Spider-Men variations, including Miguel O'Hara, the one who founded the Spider Society.

However, his backstory is only briefly mentioned: he disrupted the canon of one world, which led to Miguel losing everything he loved and the collapse of the world.

This prompted him to form the Spider Society to prevent similar anomalies from occurring again.

Miguel's infusion of spider DNA has given him mutations beyond standard Spider-Man abilities, including spider-like fangs that inject paralyzing venom.

But that's as far as Miguel's backstory goes. Fans hope the character's potential will be explored in future installments, giving us more of Miguel's background.

What About The Spot?

With his newfound power and ability to travel between universes, The Spot becomes an unstoppable threat to Miles Morales and all the other Spideys.

Covered in swirling white spots on his black body, he poses a grave danger as he returns to Miles' world, intent on wreaking havoc and harming Miles' family.

The main question left unanswered in the movie is how The Spot can be stopped.

With his overwhelming power, the entire Spider Society will need a proper plan to defeat Spider-Man's greatest nemesis and stop him from getting his revenge.

Will Miles Save His Father?

With Miles stuck in the wrong universe with his evil doppelgänger and the mad version of his Uncle Aaron on chaos-filled Earth-42, the fate of Miles' father remains unclear.

If Miles' father is long dead on Earth-42, does that mean he won't make it in another universe?

Will Gwen and Peter Parker from Earth-616 come to his rescue? Will Miles get out of the mad city and prevent his father's death?

Or is Jefferson Davis destined to die, as in other realities? This is the question that will eat us up until the release of Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Is Beyond The Spider-Verse Really The End?

Although the current trilogy and Miles' journey are supposed to come to an end in Beyond the Spider-Verse, there is still opportunity for more in the enormous universe of Spider-Man and his variations.

The phenomenal success of the films suggests that Sony won't stop there. Beyond Miles' confrontation with The Spot, there is exciting potential for the future of other versions of Spider-Man and their villains as well.
