Spider-Man 4 Fan Art Offers a Perfect Symbiote Look For Tom Holland, But There's a Catch
If the symbiote appears in Spider-Man 4, what will it look like?
The symbiote was officially introduced to the MCU in the post credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. When Dr. Strange's spell teleported Spider-Man villains from other universes, for some reason Sony's Venom was also one of them.
Even though he didn't take part in the events of the film, the post credit scene was rather mind-blowing.
When Venom was teleported back to his reality after the end of the film, one part of his symbiote was left in the bar where Brock was having a good time at the moment of disappearance.
It is very much speculated that the forth Spider-Man movie within the MCU will feature Peter being exposed to the symbiote.
While it is early to affirmatively say anything about the next movie about the webslinger, fans shared their thoughts on how the symbiote suit should look like.
Fans took as an example a fan concept art by ThomasduCrest, that depicts Tom Holland in the symbiote costume. The suit looks similar to the design of Sony's Venom, while also having the original iconic spider logo.
The art is totally awesome, and it makes sense that it resembles Venom, if we assume that it is the same symbiote that was left by Brock in NWH. However, fans think that there is a better approach.
While the costume that looks organic and alien is definitely great, it kills the original reason for why Peter decided to wear the costume.
Being plain black in the comics, the suit just seemed like an upgrade for Spidey, and not an alien parasite. The third Raimi's Spider-Man movie, despite being generally criticized, tackled the suit problem elegantly.
While it was not comic-accurate, the suit represented the black version of Spidey's casual suit, so it didn't make Peter question its origin or consequences of wearing it.
Fans believe that the best way for the symbiote suit to appear in the MCU will be to take inspiration from the animated The Spectacular Spider-Man, where the symbiote suit is initially just a black version of Spidey's costume, but becomes more alien-looking as it slowly corrupts Peter.
