Spiciest (and Most Embarrassing) TBBT Scene Actually Made Amy Blush

The Big Bang Theory is one of those shows where the characters are not afraid of being embarrassed, mostly because they have gotten used to it over the years. However, the writers always pushed them to their limits to see how far it could go.

But for the actors, there were scenes that felt like too much. For example, one of the most legendary moments in Sheldon and Amy's relationship was actually an embarrassing one for actress Mayim Bialik.

We're talking about the spanking scene, and apparently it wasn't even meant to be seen by TV viewers. The scene was first written to be off-camera, and during the table read, it was determined that viewers would only hear the sounds of slapping and Amy's excited whispers.

However, just prior to filming, the show's creator, Chuck Lorre, decided that the scene should definitely be on-screen and made changes to the script. This came as shocking news to Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons, who had never even rehearsed how the scene would look on camera.

In an interview with Larry King, Bialik opened up about the experience and said it was really embarrassing for her. However, she was still determined to make a great scene, so they spent a lot of time trying to shoot it perfectly. And in the end, we got a scene with one of Amy's best facial expressions.

Jim Parsons, on the other hand, described the scene as "amusing" on TBS's Conan. He said he couldn't get through it because even though we saw him being super serious and concentrated on screen, he actually couldn't stop laughing between takes.

Still, both actors did their best and gave us the performance of a lifetime, making the spanking scene one of the best in the entire 12 seasons of the show.
