Sony's Response To The 'Spider-Man 4' Campaign Leaves Fans Disappointed
Ever since Toby Maguire reprised his Peter Parker role in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home', fans were demanding the release of a proper fourth film in Sony's 2000's Sam Raimi-directed series, with all the original stars returning. And Sony finally answered them. Well, kind of…
While promoting his upcoming 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' film, Sam Raimi candidly spoke about the possibility of making a new Spidey film.
"I think all things are possible. I don't really have a story or a plan. I don't know if Marvel would be interested in that right now. I don't know what their thoughts are about that. I haven't really pursued that. But it sounds beautiful", director told Fandango. Such positive reaction from the trilogy's original creator made fans even more hyped for a possibility of seeing their favorite creative team getting back together. Unable to maintain silence anymore, Sony's official Twitter account published a short response to the fans.
Wow. It certainly doesn't sound like the proper response that millions of Marvel fans deserve. It seems that some Sony employees have decided to take matters into their own hands by expressing their personal opinions, but through the company's verified social media page.
The reaction from fans was understandable, with people expressing hope for answers from actual Sony Pictures producers.
