The decision by CBS to cancel the show seems more and more questionable with each passing day.

The most annoying thing in pop culture is when your favorite show gets canceled too early. Finding a show with a great plot, charismatic characters, and a good cast is hard enough, but losing it after a few seasons or episodes is even worse.

Some movies and TV shows are designed to grab your attention in just a few sentences, while others may sound boring at the synopsis stage, but end up being something you'll come back to week after week.

So Help Me Todd Among the Most Watched TV Shows of the Year

So Help Me Todd, the show about a private investigator who gets a job with his mother, is clearly one of the latter. The devil is in the details, and behind the odd title is a funny and light-hearted project with memorable characters and great dialogue. The series made many top lists of the best TV shows of the year, but was canceled after the second season.

Why was it axed? Because although the ratings for the project were decent, CBS decided to make room on the schedule for other shows. The cancellation of So Help Me Todd seems even more absurd after Variety published a list of the most watched TV projects for 2023-2024, where So Help Me Todd ranked 28th out of 100 shows.

Needless to say, this only further angered the fans who have long tried to save their favorite show by any means necessary.

“The person in charge of CBS ordering & scheduling shows should be the one canceled. Also, their CW network & Paramount+ can use a great original quality show like SHMT,” Reddit user SkylarkBlaze wrote.

So Help Me Todd Campaign Could Work, Just Like It Did with Roswell

So Help Me Todd fans are doing everything they can to get the show back on the air or streaming – from starting petitions to even sending postcards to the offices of various streaming companies and networks.

Roswell

And it can work, as in the case of Roswell. The fantasy series premiered on The WB in 1999, but the show was almost canceled after its first season due to low ratings. However, fans were not willing to let it go that easily.

To get a second season, they sent The WB more than 15,000 bottles of Tabasco sauce, which the show's aliens liked to add to their food.
