The years-long conflict between the actresses has no end in sight.

Fans already know that Kim Cattrall will return to her iconic role of Samantha Jones in the season 2 finale of And Just Like That, the reboot of HBO's Sex and the City.

It should be noted that the actress will only appear in one scene. Filming with Cattrall took place on March 22 in New York, while she did not see other colleagues, including Sarah Jessica Parker and reboot’s showrunner Michael Patrick King.

In this scene, Samantha, who lives in London, will be on the phone with Carrie. Before that, there were episodes in the first season where Carrie and Samantha texted each other and even wanted to meet.

The first season of And Just Like That was released in 2021. Previously, Kim Cattrall refused to take part in the filming of the reboot due to disagreements with cast members.

Sarah Jessica Parker has finally broken her silence and revealed what she thinks about Kim's cameo on the show:

“We've been really thoughtful about the ways in which we’ve […] approached characters that hadn't been around, […] and it's been, you know, really fun and exciting and certainly nostalgic, but I think more than that, it's been a lot of joy.”

While Parker acted like a real politician and gave a more than vague and neutral answer, Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda, expressed her opinion more sharply:

“We all wanted to be there. So that makes an enormous difference. That you're not walking around on eggshells with someone who's unhappy for reasons that are hard to even understand what they are.”

The story of the relationship between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall in intensity of passions can compete with the most exciting storylines of Sex and the City.

Rumors about the conflict between the actresses began during the filming of the first seasons and did not cease for 20 years.

It is still not known exactly why such a prolonged conflict flared up, but most fans tend to believe that the difference in fees became the bone of contention – Sarah Jessica Parkers’ salary was higher. And then the animosity and recriminations snowballed making actresses friends on screen but enemies in real life.
