Veronica Duncan, a character who was introduced in the sixth episode titled Seven Deadly Sins and a Small Carl Sagan appeared as a troublesome young lady, portrayed by Isabel May.
However, she has a change of heart when she turns to Mary for salvation and decides to amend her ways.
Although initially a love interest for Georgie, Veronica is eventually replaced by Jana and disappears from the show entirely.
Isabel May's sudden departure from Young Sheldon left fans curious, as George's new relationship with Jana seemed to make Veronica's character irrelevant.
However, it has been revealed that Isabel landed a significant role on the prequel series 1883 of Yellowstone, which was a fantastic career opportunity for her.
It is plausible that the demanding filming schedule for 1883 made it difficult for Isabel to continue working on Young Sheldon.
However, there's still hope for Veronica's return to Young Sheldon. And if she does come back, she could easily slide right back into George's storyline as it was established in The Big Bang Theory.
George Cooper Jr. is another character from Young Sheldon who was first introduced in The Big Bang Theory as an adult played by the one and only Jerry O'Connell.
As we all know, George has had some tough breaks in his love life with multiple marriages and relationships, including one at the age of 19.
However, the identity of his first wife remains a mystery. Some fans of the show have been going wild with theories about Veronica Duncan making a comeback and possibly becoming the first Mrs. Cooper.
But not everyone is convinced that this is a realistic scenario. During a Reddit discussion, various reasons were cited to support the argument that Veronica's return is unlikely.
In fact, some fans are so convinced that they're claiming the only way Veronica could possibly come back is if Mandy rejects Georgie's marriage proposal in the upcoming April 27 episode.
