There are some big announcements about the upcoming seasons.

Nowadays, the quality of a TV series is practically no different from a movie, and the possibilities for directors, writers and artists are expanding. This attracts professionals to TV series production, TV shows budgets are growing, and as a result, the visual style is becoming more sophisticated, and the narratives become more and more complex.

Silo is One of the Most Promising Sci-Fi Projects Now

On June 29, 2023, one of such projects, the sci-fi series Silo by Graham Yost, based on the first novel of the book series of the same name by Hugh Howey, ended its first season on Apple TV+. And now we can definitely say that this series has become one of the main events in the genre over the past few years.

Season 1 of the series was a confident start to a post-apocalyptic story with elements of dystopia, launching a fast-paced cycle of conspiracies and secrets.

An intriguing setting with its own rules and gradually revealed secrets, twists and turns skillfully transferred from the pages of books, and characters skillfully portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Robbins and Rashida Jones, as well as confident direction by Morten Tyldum, made all sci-fi fans glued to the small screens.

Silo Season 2 is Closer That You Think

Considering that Silo is one of those big-budget, high-quality TV products, fans were worried that they would have to wait a couple of years or more for the second season.

However, Rebecca Ferguson recently shared in an interview that the second chapter has already been filmed and is in post-production, and most likely we won't even have to wait until 2025 to see it.

Seasons 3 & 4 of Silo Will Probably Be Filmed Simultaneously

However, this was not the only news from Ferguson that will definitely please the fans of the project. The actress knows that you are already tired of the fact that seasons of your favorite series are filmed for three years (Euphoria, we are looking at you), but apparently such a fate will not wait for the fans of Silo. Here is what Rebecca said:

“I think we're absolutely fine to say Season 1 we've done, Season 2 is shot and coming out, and we're now looking at green-lighting Seasons 3 and 4. I think we would film them maybe together, and that will be the end.”

First, the four-season concept seems to be a golden mean for Silo – it's the optimal amount of time to tell the story without rushing or dragging the plot. Second, the news that we might get a third and fourth season without a long break between them is more than encouraging, especially in today's TV realities.
