Critics are praising it as self-aware, entertaining, and dimensional despite some of its imperfections.
Fans, in turn, have already applauded the plot and the way it is actually hard to predict and always keeps you tense. According to Twitter user EdgarBotello41, the movie "was made for the generation who appreciated teen movies that are now grown up". Many people have already anointed 'Do Revenge' as one of Netflix's best romantic comedies ever.
But the plot is not the only thing that got people enchanted by the movie.

The film follows the story of two teenage girls whose lives are ruined by their tormentors. Camilla Mendes' character was the queen of the school before a sex tape was leaked by her boyfriend Max, effectively turning her life into a nightmare. Maya Hawke's character, in turn, is an awkward transfer student who has to study alongside one of her former bullies. The two girls form an unexpected alliance and friendship with a goal to get revenge on each other's tormentors.
The plot was largely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 'Strangers on a Train', as well as by the modern Internet culture, but, according to the critics, it manages "to blend all of its influences into a distinctive movie".
'Do Revenge' is currently streaming on Netflix after premiering on September 16.
