It would probably be smarter to get sick leave next time.

In almost every TV show, there are some episodes with big romantic milestones that can touch the hearts of everyone in the audience.

The Big Bang Theory, while far from a romantic drama, has had its moments. First kisses, dates, even proposals: if you had a favorite couple, you probably had a favorite episode.

For many, "the moment" would be Sheldon and Amy's first kiss. But only if you don't know the behind-the-scenes reality of a not-so-romantic scene.

It's hard to imagine someone getting sick and continuing to shoot as if nothing happened today. With COVID-19, everyone was much more cautious, and for good reason.

Back when The Big Bang Theory was filming, some of the actors didn't take their health so seriously.

Both Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper, and Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy Fowler, remember having to film a kiss when Parsons was sick.

The flu gets the best of us, but it's especially unfortunate when you get it while kissing your co-star on camera and trying to make that kiss as meaningful as possible.

After all, fans have waited a long 4 seasons for a first gesture of real affection. Both actors were under a certain amount of pressure to get it right.

"You were sweating. You had a fever. You were very sick," the actress said to Parsons while speaking to The Hamilton Spectator.

Although these were not the best conditions to film such a sweet and heartfelt moment, both actors got it done and once again proved their professionalism.

All viewers can hope for is that Mayim Bialik made good use of her hydrogen peroxide spray and did not follow in her co-star's footsteps and get sick.

The acting duo probably wouldn't want to relive this moment, but if you want to watch it again, you can do so by streaming The Big Bang Theory on Netflix or MAX.
