Shazam Star Might Have Spoiled Aquaman 2 Big Time
Jack Dylan Grazer mentioned some interesting details about a certain actress who appeared in Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods has just been released and has been warmly received by audiences, despite a mixed reception from critics.
The story picks up two years after the first movie and follows Billy Batson as he and his foster family battle Hespera and Kalypso, two of the daughters of the Titan Atlas.
Warning: spoilers ahead.
Prior to the film's release, there were rumors and leaks regarding the appearance of Wonder Woman, portrayed by Gal Gadot, in the film.
They eventually turned out to be true, as she appears at the end of the film to restore the broken Wizard's staff in order to resurrect Billy, who was killed after overloading the staff during the final battle.
Now, Jack Dylan Grazer, who plays Freddy Freeman, Billy's foster brother, has revealed some interesting details while discussing Gadot's appearance in the movie.
"Gal Gadot flew in from London that day and she was like, 'Are you filming the Shazam movie?' She comes in very mystique, she's like the Lady in the Water. She comes in and she's like splashing around like a mermaid.
And she walks in and she's like, 'You guys are filming 'Shazam 2? ' I just got off the set of 'Aquaman. ' It's very good to see you.' And we're like, 'Oh my god, she's here. Wonder Woman is here!" said the actor in an interview with Fandom Entertainment.
This unexpected revelation raised several questions among fans.
The main one is how Wonder Woman will be involved in the plot of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, considering that the movie will focus on the titular hero's team-up with his nemesis King Orm against Black Manta.
However, it is possible that her appearance will be episodic, similar to Shazam.
The other question is whether this means that Gal Gadot will keep her position as Wonder Woman after the DCU reboot under James Gunn.
If she doesn't, and if the events of The Lost Kingdom take place after The Flash, which will apparently serve as the catalyst for the reboot, then what's the point?
Anyway, fans will have to wait for the aforementioned releases to get the answers they seek. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is currently in theaters.
