When an original series is released on a major streaming platform and immediately becomes a success, it’s only a matter of time that the new season is announced. Usually it takes a year to prepare a new chapter, but sometimes different factors can affect the production which will cause a major delay in it and make the fans wait a little bit more.
This is exactly what happened with Severance. The Apple TV original premiered in 2022 and became a fan favorite immediately. The show has an amazing cast, with Adam Scott playing the leading character joined by Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, and Tramell Tillman.
But what really makes the show stand out is the premise of it. Severance is actually the name of the surgery the characters have to undergo to work at a huge corporation called Lumon Industries, which makes them forget their personal life while they are at work (and basically live two separate lives).

Naturally, even the short clip with the new footage is filled with suspense; but fans were still happy to see some of their biggest fears debunked – at least the group is back together again.

Another thing that amazed the fans was of course the short appearance of Gwendoline Christie. Since the moment fans heard that the brilliant actress would be joining the cast of the show, there have been many different theories about her possible role: from Helen's sister to Cobel's replacement.
