If you have been a Marvel fan for some time, you know that there is one distinctive feature that fans have come to love about the MCU. Well, mostly.

The humor, of course. Marvel movies and shows are full of action, and the world is always doomed, but even when it all comes crashing down, they keep the overall tone lighthearted. Yes, even when Thanos is killing half the universe.

However, the upcoming miniseries Secret Invasion might ruin that tradition!

Marvel has released a new trailer, which could not be more serious. Samuel L. Jackson 's character is known for his "let's-get-down-to-business" attitude, but judging by the trailer, he won't be the only one.

Secret Invasion will consist of six episodes and will be the first series of Phase Five of the MCU, and fans are divided on whether it will take the franchise in the right direction.

Some are excited about the change in mood, saying that serious and consistent stories are "what the MCU needs." People believe that fewer jokes and more "gritty action sequences" will do Marvel a lot of good.

Secret Invasion might turn out to be similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War to an extent, and we are here for it!

The only concern that fans have is that Marvel might kill off Nick Fury in the series. Now, we wouldn't want that, would we?

Such a beloved character has to live, we have lost so many already… Well, at least we will surely get to see Samuel L. Jackson again this year, as he is confirmed to return in 2023's The Marvels. Yay!

Others are not so happy about the Marvel shows taking a graver turn. The reason? People seem to think that it could make Secret Invasion and other potential movies and shows give off a DC vibe.

The DC Universe is often painted in much darker colors than the MCU. While we love that there, do we really need that to happen to Marvel?

Only time will tell. Still, the trailer for Secret Invasion looks as promising as ever. Maybe the show will give way to the MCU with fewer punchlines, or maybe there will still be a few of them in the series, and Marvel is just teasing the fans.

Either way, we will find out soon enough! Secret Invasion will come out on June 21, 2023, and will be available to stream on Disney Plus.
