Season 3 First Look: Colin & Penelope Are Our New Disney Prince and Princess on Bridgerton

Ladies and gentlemen, Bridgerton season 3 is coming and it is already on track to melt your hearts with its new main couple: Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

Fans managed to get a new glimpse of the lovebirds on ITV's This Morning, with Bridgerton season 3 behind-the-scenes footage revealing Penelope rocking a green outfit (finally), and Colin being a charmer that he is. Seems like the leak was unintentional, and ITV already took the clip down, but nothing is lost forever on the Internet.

With the duo oozing their "happily ever after" energy, fans couldn't help but proclaim them new Disney prince and princess of Bridgerton.

"I think this could be the most heartwarming of the seasons if they do it right. As much as I enjoyed season 1 and found the chemistry off the charts in season 2 both had some problematic elements to me and both really more focused on lust than love," Redditor scullyharp said.

Many praised Bridgerton's costume department for their work on the new outfits. According to fans, Colin and Penelope's fairytale vibe is driven largely by their amazing costumes (particularly the absence of horrendous little bows). Other people noted that the couple radiates "the old Hollywood aesthetics".

Colin and Penelope were confirmed to be the third season's main couple earlier in spring 2022, shortly after season 2 made waves in the fandom. By announcing Colin and Penelope as season 3 main characters, the series diverted from the order of the original books. The series author Julia Quinn focused on the couple in her fourth book.

Netflix is yet to announce the exact premiere date for Bridgerton season 3, but many expect it to release in spring or summer 2023.
