The first season of the Game of Thrones prequel got rid of many scenes that fans felt were a crime to leave out. This one, however, may still find its way into the final cut.

Each new deleted scene from House of the Dragon has the fandom genuinely wondering how the showrunners could not include it in the final cut. Normally, a scene filmed for one season cannot be included in the next, but what if the scene was never filmed?

Fans have discovered that such a scene did exist after researching the AO3 page of David J. Peterson, an American conlanger who created the Valyrian language for House of the Dragon.

"Visenya. My only daughter, born an abomination. Mayhaps she is a warning from the gods. She is an augury. Born the day my father died and my crown was stolen. I would have called her "Visenya". But she was not meant to be," Rhaenyra Targaryen was supposed to say at some point in episode 10.

Peterson wrote in the comments that the lines were not called for in the original script and were among "a few different takes on things Rhaenyra might say.

"Rhaenyra's lines were done this past June (as in four months ago!), and were to be done in ADR [automated dialogue replacement]. It was kind of a rush, so they may not have made it, or may have decided to just not do it," the conlanger said.

Many Redditors were upset to learn that the lines were ultimately not done; according to some of them, they can still be used in season 2, as Rhaenyra's grief over her stillborn daughter Visenya is unlikely to just go away in the sequel.

"It could easily be added while she's mourning Luke, since she lost 2 children in such a short time," Redditor Spirited-Accident noted.

Others noted that this scene would be much better than the moment when Daemon chokes Rhaenyra after realizing she is reluctant to start a war.

House of the Dragon season 2 is due to start filming in March, with the premiere date to be announced by HBO later.
