Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves Had a Crush on Each Other and Didn't Know
It has been almost four years since we found out that certain Hollywood sweethearts once had a simultaneous crush on each other, but never acted on it. Too bad, they would be great together.
In 2018, Sandra Bullock went on The Ellen Show and gushed about how "sweet" and "handsome" her Speed co-star Keanu Reeves was.
She talked about how hard it was for her "to be serious" around him. The actress even recalled some giggling coming out of her when Reeves looked at her on set.
Aww, we get it, Sandra!
Bullock went on to say that Keanu was sweet to "keep her dress down" during a stunt scene (she asked him, and he delivered – he is called the nicest guy in the world for a reason!).
When Ellen asked Sandra if the two had ever dated, the actress said a firm "no" and assumed that there was "something about her that he didn't like."
So the actress would have been up for it then?
A year later, Ellen showed Sandra's interview to Keanu himself and asked him if he knew his co-star had a crush on him.
Keanu said he didn't, adding that "she obviously didn't know I had a crush on her either." Isn't that sweet?
Reeves proceeded to explain that he did nothing to start something up because they "were working" (apparently, daring a coworker is a no-no for him?).
However, the actor returned the favor to Bullock when he called her "such a wonderful person and a wonderful actress." Could these two be any cuter?
Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves reunited in 2006's The Lake House (12 years later after Speed, mind you!), but by then they both were reportedly in relationships. Bummer!
Does this potential couple still have a chance in 2023? Not likely as both Sandra and Keanu have significant others at the moment.
Bullock has been dating photographer Bryan Randall since 2015, and Reeves has been with artist Alexandra Grant since 2019.
Maybe they will make another movie together, and third time will be the charm if both actors are single at the time? Fingers crossed!
