DСU may be getting one more character who already has a background in the movies.

New Batman movies are on the horizon, as DC Studios co-CEO and co-president James Gunn has confirmed that The Brave and the Bold, a movie centered on the superhero, will be part of the shared universe’s first chapter Gods and Monsters.

Sam Raimi, best known as the director of the Spider-Man movies, recently shared what iconic villain he would like to add to DCU. Twitter user Jason Carvey Watcher shared a comment Raimi gave him:

“Met Sam Raimi at [Texas Frightmare Weekend] today and asked him about his comments regarding his interest in directing a Batman movie in Gunn's DCU. The villain he'd most want to use? Ra's al Ghul.”

Ra's al Ghul made his first movie appearance in Batman Begins, played by Liam Neeson. Ra's wanted to destroy Gotham by releasing a hallucinogenic gas into the water supply.

Neeson wanted to reprise the role of Ra's for Arrow, but when he was offered the role, he had to turn it down because of his busy schedule.

In Arrow, Ra's was played by Matthew Nable, who received a lot of positive feedback from critics and viewers. Ra's’ children also appeared on screen.

Youngest daughter Talia Al Ghul has made several appearances in the DC Animated Universe and was also played by Marion Cotillard in Christopher Nolan 's The Dark Knight Rises, and eldest daughter Nyssa has appeared on Arrow.

Ra's al Ghul is an international criminal who has lived a long life and has appeared in a number of DC Comics, most notably Batman. His real name is unknown, and the nickname, Ra's Al Ghul, translates from Arabic as "Demon's Head."

Ra's first appeared in the comics in 1971, and since then his age has been given in the comics with many inconsistencies. According to various comics, Ra's is between 453 and 700 years old.

It is possible that this villain will indeed appear in the new movie, as it has already been confirmed that in addition to Batman, his son Damian Wayne, who is also the grandson of Ra's al Ghul, will also appear in The Brave and the Bold.
