Rupert Grint Would Return To Harry Potter – On One Condition
Rupert Grint's reaction to the proposed Harry Potter revival is heartwarming and very much in keeping with his iconic character.
In this age of endless reboots and revivals, it's only natural that talk of continuing one of the most successful film franchises of all time can't seem to stop. Wizarding World fans wouldn't mind catching up with the beloved characters and fantastical universe that captivates people of all ages and backgrounds. And of course, the studio that stands to benefit from such a project is on board as well.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav revealed last year that the company would be happy to jump into a new Harry Potter project if J.K. Rowling was up to it. With the massive financial investment already made in the franchise and its two-decades-deep lore, a revival or expansion shouldn't be too difficult for the creative teams behind it.

The real question is: would the main stars reprise their roles if the opportunity presented itself? It's clear that without Harry, Ron, and Hermione, a revival simply can't happen. Well, as for Rupert Grint, his answer to this important question is very Ron Weasley-style.
"If the timing was right and everyone was coming back," the actor said on the U.K.'s This Morning (via The Daily Mail).
What a heartwarming reaction! This is exactly what Ron would say and do, always following his friends and never leaving anyone behind. This very response serves as proof of what Rupert said next:
"It was a character that was important to me, we kind of became the same person."
No doubt the co-stars, whom Grint clearly meant by "everyone," would agree that the fan-favorite characters that launched their acting careers are dear to their hearts. Despite being skeptical in some interviews, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson never completely ruled out reprising their roles. And the star trio reunited in 2021 for the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter franchise, to the delight of millions of fans.

All of this leaves the door open for a possible revival. Not only could an expanded universe generate more profit for its stakeholders, but it could also offer something new and exciting for fans to enjoy. While some fans may be resistant to the idea of a revival, seeing the characters they have known and loved for years come back to life could be an emotional experience.
