The actress prepared intensively to look convincing on the screen.

Star Wars fans have been counting the days until the release of the Ahsoka TV series since the first trailer dropped at Star Wars Celebration 2023. And the new interview with the show's star has only made them more excited.

Rosario Dawson, who portrays the titular character in her live-action appearances, recently opened up about her preparation for the upcoming TV series on Entertainment Weekly's Dagobah Dispatch podcast.

In order to look convincing on her own show, the actress has been undergoing intense training, honing her skills in dual-wielded lightsaber combat.

Considering that Ahsoka is ambidextrous, Dawson had to train for "two hours a day, seven days a week," and after a few months she "felt it land in her body in a way."

Dawson also praised the work of her stunt coordinator, Ming Qiu, whose support helped the actress perfect the moves and make them look easy and natural.

"I was grateful for the team of people we have and to have someone like Ming," she said.

Fans are impressed by such dedication to the role and hope that the fight scenes will not disappoint.

Although when it was first announced that Rosario would be playing the live-action version of Ahsoka in the second season of The Mandalorian, some fans thought it was a total miscasting, it seems that audiences have warmed up to her quite a bit.

They have loved her portrayal of the character so far and are expressing their respect for the actress, admiring her work and saying that she only makes any project she is involved with better.

The Ahsoka TV series will continue the story teased in The Mandalorian season 2 and will follow the titular Jedi on her hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn, portrayed by Lars Mikkelsen.

The series will also feature most of the main characters from the Star Wars Rebels TV series, much to the delight of fans. The show will be released on August 31, 2023.
