'Rick and Morty' is Turning Into an Anime, and It's a Big No From Fans
Unbelievable, but some people would rather have the original show continued.
The iconic animated series 'Rick and Morty ' is going to get an anime spin-off, announced by Adult Swim. The anime has received a 10-episode order, with Takashi Sano ('Tower of God') set to direct.
Sano is no stranger to bringing some anime to 'Rick and Morty', having directed such shorts as 'Rick and Morty vs. Genocider' and 'Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil).'
Still, it seems that people are not really on board with the idea, despite the two shorts receiving appreciation from both critics and fans.
First of all, the animation style itself does not sit well with some people.
It seems there are two camps: those who would rather have another season of 'Rick and Morty', and people who would prefer a second season of 'Tower of God' instead of what they're getting.
But there is a third camp, too.
Some people came up with things that might actually be good in the upcoming anime spin-off.
The upcoming anime spin-off is said to adapt some of the original events and themes, but also be a stand-alone project. Its release date is yet to be unveiled.
