His logic was more than understandable.

The first episode of Friends aired in 1994, and this series was destined to become a cult classic. None of the actors who signed on for the show could have imagined the success that lay ahead. As the show's popularity grew, Hollywood's big shots began appearing as friends, lovers, or even random acquaintances of the six protagonists.

As a result, Friends became known for three things – its unparalleled sense of humor, the huge salaries of its stars, and an insane number of truly stellar cameos.

Bruce Willis himself graced the sixth season of the series with his presence. The actor played Paul, the father of Elizabeth, a student who Ross dated.

At first, Paul appears as a serious and even harsh man, but after a few days of dating Rachel, he discovers a sensual side of himself and scares her away with his heartfelt confessions and tears.

However, the actor did admit to Marca that he was uncomfortable playing the role of Rachel's love interest, and he had a more than valid reason for that:

“I would have loved to kiss her, but Brad [Pitt] was my friend and Jennifer was his wife. It didn’t seem appropriate to me.”

While it's obvious that Brad Pitt wouldn't have been offended if Willis' character had flirted or locked lips with his wife's character, we have to give the Die Hard star credit for worrying.

Willis' appearance in the show is a story no less interesting than his character. While filming The Whole Nine Yards, Matthew Perry and Bruce argued about whether the movie would be a hit at the box office.

Willis was sure it would be a failure, so he made a bet with Perry that if the movie was a box office hit, he would agree to a small role in Friends for free. When the film turned out to be a success, Willis had to make good on his part of the deal and appear in the sitcom.

Brad Pitt went on to join Friends in a guest role as well. The irony of his appearance is that, despite being Aniston's husband, he played a guy named Will who hated Rachel Green to death.

In the eighth season, Monica invites Will over for Thanksgiving. Back in school, Will used to be fat, which is why girls did not notice him. But after losing weight, he became an extraordinarily handsome man, which Jennifer Aniston ’s character was quick to spot.

At dinner, the group discovers that Will, along with Ross, founded the "I Hate Rachel Green" club in high school. A hilarious turn of events, isn't it?
