Reese Witherspoon Had the Best Reaction to Wednesday's Legally Blonde Easter Egg
Even the top stars watch Wednesday and sometimes find themselves referenced in the show.
Wednesday, based on the cult character from the Addams Family, overtook HBO's House of the Dragon as the most watched show of 2022.
A new story with an unusual character who never blinked, a suspenseful plot and dark humour is just the cocktail to win the hearts of many fans.
Moreover, the legendary Tim Burton, executive producer of Wednesday and director of four episodes, also had a hand in the series.
The icing on the cake were the many Easter eggs hidden in the details. Reese Witherspoon was particularly fond of one of them.
In one episode If You Don't Woe Me by Now, Wednesday's potential suitor arranges a rendezvous with her in the crypt.
Like any attentive man, he takes Wednesday's interests into account and, knowing that she loves horror films, prepares for her what he thinks will be the best choice.
He says "Prepare to be horrified," presses the play button and ... the opening track of the movie Legally Blonde begins to play.
Given Wednesday's dark nature and interests, the movie would indeed pass as a horror one for her.
Such a reference was appreciated not only by ordinary viewers, but also by Reese Witherspoon herself, who even recorded a video on TikTok asking to give her character, Elle Woods, a chance.
Many have even noticed that Wednesday's best friend Enid looks like a werewolf version of Elle.

It seems that Tim Burton could not resist leaving a few hints of his other movies, too. In the first episode, viewers enter the cafe where Tyler works, and where Wednesday keeps showing up with different characters.
If you look closely at the brick wall in the background, you can see decorative weather vanes that refer to various Tim Burton movies.
One of them with the top hat alludes to Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Another is the headless horseman from Sleepy Hollow.
And the third is probably a reference to the fantastic tragicomedy Big Fish.
While there is no exact release date for the second season of the sensational show, it is sure to come, and fans will once again be able to join in the quest to find as many Easter eggs as possible.
