Real Reason Tatiana Maslany Was Kept in the Dark About She-Hulk's Megan Thee Stallion Cameo

She-Hulk is an ironic sitcom about lawyer Jennifer Walters, who is the cousin of Bruce Banner aka Hulk. The plot develops quickly: already in the first episode the main character becomes a superwoman.

One of the most viral scenes of the entire series was the twerking scene with Maslany and Megan Thee Stallion ’s characters.

As it turns out, Maslany herself is a big fan of the rapper, which is why the show's creator kept the cameo a secret from the actress:

“She didn't tell me right away because she knew I would basically go into a coma for three weeks. It was my dream come true. I've seen her in concert many times.”

According to the plot of episode 3, Jennifer as the lawyer of the Abomination / Emil Blonsky tries to protect her client and prove that he did not leave the prison of his own free will. Emil was kidnapped by Wong, after which he decided not to run away, but to return to prison.

Meanwhile, Dennis Bukowski is suing his ex-girlfriend Runa, a shapeshifting light elf from New Asgard. Runa was reincarnated as Megan Thee Stallion, and Dennis thought he was dating a rapper.

Jennifer, as a witness, helps Dennis' lawyer convince the judge that Bukowski could actually believe that his girlfriend was Megan Thee Stallion. And the real Megan Thee Stallion comes to court.

In the post-credits scene, Megan Thee Stallion was shown again. Jennifer became the singer's attorney and to celebrate the beginning of their collaboration, Jennifer and Megan Thee Stallion decide to twerk.

Despite conflicting opinions, one of the great strengths of the show is that She-Hulk is not attached to Hulk. She is independent and equal to men.

And even though the character still exists in comedy and not in the classic epic genre, the main thing is that the bosses of Marvel seem to have finally understood: a woman becomes a real superheroine when she stops seeing herself through the eyes of men.
