Because yes, that's exactly what happened to a clueless man who sat on a plane right next to The Office star Rainn Wilson — and never recognized his icon because the actor was wearing a medical mask.
In his Instagram stories, Wilson shared the video showing his travel pal enjoying a meal and an episode of The Office, captioning it with "When the person sitting next to you has no idea who you are...".
The funniest part of the video is that his character, Dwight, appears on the small plane screen just on time to highlight what a missed opportunity the entire situation is for the clueless fan.
Well, if you ask us, that's something that Dwight's frenemy Jim Halpert would do. Fans went crazy in the comments, joking about how Wilson himself missed an opportunity, too — for example, to look at the guy at the end of the flight and drop the signature "QUESTION..." in the voice of Dwight.
