Are you ready for something truly surprising, Harry Potter fans? Daniel Radcliffe, the boy who lived, has revealed that his favorite Harry Potter film may not be one that's on the top of most fans' lists.

In a recent interview with WIRED Autocomplete, Radcliffe revealed that his favorite film from the series is none other than Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix.

Now, before you start gasping in disbelief, hear Radcliffe out. He explains that his love for the fifth film in the series is largely due to the fact that he got to work with Gary Oldman ( who played Sirius Black) a lot more in that film.

"I was sort of a little bit older at that point. So I was kind of able to appreciate that more," Radcliffe said.

Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, the fifth film in the series, was released in 2007 and directed by David Yates. The film received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising the darker tone of the film and the performances of the cast, while others criticized the pacing and the fact that certain plot points were left out.

Hardcore Harry Potter books fans were even more disappointed with the direction Order of Phoenix creators chose. To this day, the film often tops the lists of worst Harry Potter films and / or cast performances.

Most of the fans were displeased with the decision to cut out some important points – like Vernon kicking Harry out and Petunia allowing him to stay, thus creating somewhat of a turning point for her character. And while we all love to hate Umbridge, it's hard to ignore the fact that she's almost cartoonish in the movie; it fails to uncover the depths of her nastiness and how it is fuelled by a thirst for power.

Despite all the mixed response, Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix was a commercial success, grossing over $940 million worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing film of 2007 behind Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

But wait, there's more! Radcliffe also revealed that his favorite Harry Potter film to watch is the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Of course, as the last film in the series, it's no surprise that it holds a special place in Radcliffe's heart. After all, it was the end of an era for him and the entire Harry Potter cast who basically grew up together on set.

So, in the end, Daniel Radcliffe's favorite Harry Potter film may not be what you expect, but it just goes to show that everyone has their own personal favorites. And honestly, can we really blame Radcliffe for loving a film where he got to work with the incredible Gary Oldman, who actually taught the young actor so much? We think not.
