How do you become iconic by doing nothing? Tarantino should be a coach for that.

There's no question that Quentin Tarantino is one of the best (some say the best) directors of our time. This is only proven by the fact that all of his 9 movies became real hits and to this day have been re-watched by thousands of people.

His debut in cinema was the crime drama Reservoir Dogs. The movie was released in 1992, but is still the best in its genre. As for now, we know that the director is in the making of his tenth film The Movie Critic. And as he said, this is going to be his last movie.

But there was a time when Tarantino was almost ready to break his chain of original movies to shoot a remake. As part of a 10-week series focusing on remakes of famous 1950s B-movies, Tarantino discussed his intentions to adapt the 1957 crime drama Rock All Night.

He mentioned that he really liked the movie, which is why he was so eager to direct the remake. Tarantino liked the script, liked the way Dick Miller played the lead character, Shorty.

“He’s a total a**hole, but he’s the a**hole you need in that situation, and he ends up getting the best of the gangsters,” Tarantino shared in the podcast.

This was actually the closest the director came to making a remake. Although this seems like big news even to his true fans. However, the rumors of Tarantino's intentions to create his own James Bond and his own version of Star Trek have been around for a while.

Finding out that there might have been something more to see from the director seems like a missed opportunity to fans. But there's always hope.
