The legendary director became the latest addition to the Barbenheimer army this weekend, and he was caught on that in the funniest way possible: in the act.

The Barbenheimer fever still holds the world in its grasp, and the double-feature’s recent release goes to show as much. Combined, the two movies have managed to collect over half a billion dollars ($511M, to be exact) worldwide in the first three days, and this is just the beginning: we’ll see how it goes in the next weekend.

The Barbenheimer gang has been going strong, too, as a massive portion of the audience preferred to not choose between Nolan’s 3-hour-long biopic about the father of the atomic bomb and Gerwig’s bright-pink adventure comedy and went to both movies, instead, which had become a meme before even occurring.

It’s safe to say that everyone’s happy with how Barbie and Oppenheimer are currently doing, but the double-feature fans are cheering up louder than most as many celebrities have joined their ranks this weekend. While some, like Tom Cruise, have announced it in advance, others were admittedly not even aware of the meme.

None other than Quentin Tarantino himself was caught practicing the art of double-feature with his friend and colleague Roger Avary. In the picture that was posted on Twitter by one Saul Gonzalez, the famous director and his co-writer are purchasing tickets to the second movie right after watching the first one.

“In Westwood after seeing “Oppenheimer,” Quentin Tarantino walks across the street and buys a ticket to see ‘Barbie,’” Gonzalez commented on the photo.

Admittedly, Tarantino has never announced himself as a Barbenheimer enjoyer, but the other members of this meme movement are happy to have the director with them. After the original tweet went viral, the official Twitter page for Tarantino’s podcast confirmed that the two friends were out for the double feature that night.

“Yes, our boys were out last night doing what they love to do the most together, seeing movies,” The Video Archives Podcast commented.

We’re yet to learn what the legendary director thought about Barbie and Oppenheimer, but the fact that he decided to watch them back-to-back in itself was more than enough to warm the fans’ hearts. Now, it’s up to Tarantino to share his opinion on the two movies that are trending all over the world these days.
