Pretty Much Every TBBT Cast Member Had a Bone To Pick With This One Actor
To bug so many people at once is a talent in itself.
What many viewers of TV series tend to forget is that the production and film set where the cast and crew work is a real workplace.
Sure, this type of job is a little less conventional and doesn't require sitting at a desk or talking to customers all day, but it still has the same issues as any other workplace.
Everyone probably knows at least one person who would fit the description of a slightly annoying co-worker who doesn't mean to be, but somehow makes everyone else's life harder.
For the cast of The Big Bang Theory, that person was Kunal Nayyar, who played Raj Koothrappali.
Although there was no malicious intent in his actions, Nayyar became the hardest person to work with on set. According to co-star Johnny Galecki, who played Leonard, he was "the most consistently wrong guy." It may have been endearing in some cases, but it must have been exhausting to get the wrong information every time you asked a simple question.
Another Big Bang Theory star, Mayim Bialik, recalled how Nayyar's positive attitude didn't always match the team's vibe. The entire cast shared their stories about Kunal Nayyar's worst habits during the interview with Conan O'Brien.
“It was some awards show where like it was Jim lost, I lost, the show lost within like five minutes. Kunal was like, 'But we're all together, we love each other. And we were all like, 'It's too soon! No one wants to toast right now, or feel good,'” Bialik said.
Another point was brought up by Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny. She has a particular problem with her co-star's parking style. He tried to explain that he needed extra space for the doors of his car, as they opened upwards, but this argument wasn't good enough for Cuoco, as she had to make do with very little space to park next to him.
With all that said, Kunal Nayyar was an important part of the cast and the whole show, giving life to one of the fan-favorite characters. So even if the co-stars had some reasons to bicker about him, it was all in good fun and not meant to hurt anyone's feelings.
If you want to relive some of Nayyar's best Raj Koothrappali moments, you can stream The Big Bang Theory on Netflix or MAX.
