At the center of the story is the Basgiath War College of the Kingdom of Navarre and the main character named Violet, the daughter of a war general. The girl did not want to follow in her mother's footsteps, but the mother would not have been a general if she had not forced her daughter to act in her own way.

Violet attends the College, where the elite of Navarre, the Dragon Riders, are trained. You can leave the ranks of the academy's cadets either by graduating or by meeting your death. Working with dragons is not for the weak, they either respect you or burn you.

Of course, Violet meets a dark but very attractive young man Xaden, the son of a rebel who once led a brutally suppressed revolution. And everything would have been fine, except that it was Violet's mother who killed Xaden's father. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?

The Rights to Fourth Wing Were Purchased By Amazon

The rights to the book were bought by Amazon Studios before the WGA strike, and the fight for the rights was hot. If the Fourth Wing adaptation is successful, all of the following books will get their own adaptations. So far, however, Yarros has only written two books in the series – Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. The latter is scheduled for release on November 7, 2023.

Fourth Wing Could Be Amazon's Fantasy Breakthrough
