Only One Main Character Seems to Be Truly Safe in Guardians of the Galaxy 3

One thing is for sure about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – the final installment in James Gunn 's trilogy of Marvel's most charismatic team will be the last time we see the group together on screen.
Gunn had ended the Guardians' story with the third movie, hinting that some of the main characters would not make it out alive.
It is known that the third movie will focus heavily on the history of the Rocket, and his origin will finally be revealed.
However, many fans believe that it is the Raccoon that will meet a sad end. Rocket Raccoon has come full circle – from a selfish and withdrawn character to an empathetic leader who knows how to motivate others.
James Gunn himself has repeatedly said that Rocket Raccoon is a hero he constantly identifies with. And we all know that the most important step in any director's career is killing off a favorite character.
Gunn is a highly eccentric director with a penchant for shocking moments. He was the one who came up with the scene of Groot and Yondu's self-sacrifice, so you can expect him to do something like kill off a beloved character.
Others are certain that the director will kill Drax. Of all the Guardians, his story-revenge for his family, first against Ronan the Accuser and then against Thanos -was more or less completed with Thanos' death in Avengers: Endgame.
Fans can't come up with any ideas of what development this character can get on the big screen. Furthermore, Dave Bautista has publicly stated that he is done with the franchise.
Since he also looks injured in the trailer, fans suspect that Drax's story is coming to an end.
Gamora is also in grave danger.
The Guardians have finally found an alternate version of Thanos' daughter, but it turns out that her existence threatens the entire universe, as revealed in the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
And no matter how much the Guardians and Peter Quill himself care about Gamora, they cannot turn a blind eye to this fact.
And it seems that only Peter Quill, who has been the main character all along, is safe.
He lost his mother, father, his mentor, and the love of his life, and maybe at the end of the third movie there will be a point where he decides to move on.
Maybe he forms a new team of Guardians of the Galaxy? Fans will find out on May 5, 2023.
