The fourth season of Only Murders in the Building doesn't even have an exact release date yet, but it's already surrounded by a lot of mystery and fan speculation.

At the same time, the main premise of the new chapter in the adventures of three amateur detectives is known – they will investigate the murder of Sazz Pataki, Charles' stunt double in the Brazzos show, who was killed at the end of the third season. Part of The Script Was Leaked by Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria posted on her TikTok account a sheet with a script for one of the episodes of the fourth season, in which it becomes clear that Eugene Levy and Zach Galifianakis play themselves.

In addition, from the text shown by the actress, it became clear that Eugene and Zach were cast in the roles of Charles and Oliver, respectively, which means that the amateur detectives’ podcast will receive a TV or movie adaptation.

Moreover, if earlier fans believed that Eva Longoria would play Mabel’s aunt, now they are sure that the actress will be cast as Mabel in the adaptation. Some viewers are even suggesting that an actress that is so much older than Mabel was cast in her role in order to write a romantic line with Charles or Oliver. Sounds gross, but it's definitely what some writers might do to ensure high ratings for their show.

This theory is supported by the few details already known about the fourth season – Mabel, Charles and Oliver will go to Los Angeles, apparently to participate in the adaptation either as actors or as consultants.
