That's exactly the situation Margot Robbie 's friends found themselves in.
Speaking with Carey Mulligan for Variety's Actors on Actors issue, she talked about the various unconventional ways she got the role of Nellie LaRoy for Babylon, like inviting them all to her trailer and never having a minute of silence on the set.
However, the most shocking part for both Carey Mulligan and the readers was the fact that Robbie went so far as to invite her friends to film a huge and steamy party scene.
The sequence is everything you can imagine: it's bright, it's flashy, it's fun, it has great music in the background, and there's a lot of sexual tension.
It is also quite revealing, as there is not much clothing covering any of the extras' bodies. And besides the professional dancers who make up the majority of the crowd, you can see a few of the actress' boyfriends.
"I asked some of my friends because it was important to have the party atmosphere throughout the whole film. I would always have friends in the trailer. Base camp was a little ongoing party," Robbie said.
Although Babylon was not considered a success in terms of box office, it definitely managed to capture the attention of viewers with beautiful imagery and great acting, all thanks to the leads and their tricks to make it work.
