A story of one rehearsal going completely wrong.

If you're still hurting after watching the finale of Succession, don't worry: you're not alone.

Luckily, the show was so powerful that all of the cast and creators are still very much in demand by the media, and are sharing a ton of interesting behind-the-scenes stories during interviews.

While Jesse Armstrong previously shared how Jeremy Strong's improvisation on Kendall Roy's final scene of the last episode scared everyone on set, Kieran Culkin shared another story from the set in Variety's latest Actors on Actors issue that could have easily been much more dangerous than planned.

As the actor, who portrayed Roman Roy on the show, shared with his co-interviewer Claire Danes, both he and Strong are big fans of rehearsing their scenes before acting them out, even if it requires some physical interactions.

However, the original scene required the involvement of Sarah Snook, who portrayed Shiv.

When Kendall and Shiv get into the fight, they decide to err on the side of caution and rehearse so as not to do any damage, since both the character and the actress were already pregnant.

And as ironic as it is, the moment of rehearsal is where the scene was completely changed and made more violent than the script ever intended.

"When he went for her, I just instinctively grabbed him. And then he turned his attention to me. There were a few takes where we ended up scuffling, and really going for it on the floor," the actor shared.

Culkin later added that he hadn't seen which take made the cut, but recalled that there was one where he was on top of Strong and punched him in the face, and another where they switched positions.

Though the show decided not to use any of them, the actor enjoyed the experience, calling it "lively."

If you're ready to give Succession a rewatch, or just want to enjoy the finale one more time, you can stream it on Max.
