One Reason Sheldon Cooper Just Got Worse With Age
If only he could stay a kid for a couple more seasons…
It's no secret that Young Sheldon has become extremely popular and has managed to reintroduce the character of Sheldon Cooper at an age that no one has ever seen him before.
Even the most loyal fans of The Big Bang Theory have mostly admitted that they find Young Sheldon, both the show and the character, much more enjoyable than the older version.
But now that he has grown up and entered his teens on both shows, it is becoming increasingly difficult to watch him again.
Although Sheldon's name is still in the title of the prequel, he has definitely lost the focus of the episodes and has almost been sidelined in favor of other characters.
Viewers may still find him entertaining at times, but just like the adult version, he is a lot.
While he's funny, witty, and smart, he's also very demanding, annoying, and arrogant, and not everyone can enjoy such behavior.
While some viewers think he's still a child who's just been spoiled by his mother's coddling, others think this arrogance comes from his outstanding intellectual abilities.
Of course, from a very young age, Sheldon knew he was smarter than most kids, as the adults always pointed out.
But it was only as he grew up and added social knowledge to his scientific knowledge that he realized just how good he was. And that is when things went downhill for his character development.
Even though Sheldon is annoying at times, the audience is still happy that he is written and portrayed so realistically. It is very easy to make a character with an advantage like Sheldon's intelligence too good to like, especially as a child.
However, both Iain Armitage and the writers of Young Sheldon go out of their way to make the audience feel a whole range of emotions for him instead.
With Sheldon's move to Germany, viewers will have to wait until season 7 to see the new chapter of his life. However, there is no information about the production start or the release date.
