One Office Hater Did the Most Unhinged Thing to John Krasinski
John Krasinski might have become the only actor to have had only fun fan experiences if it weren't for this insane incident.
In 2022, The Office star went on Late Night with Conan O'Brien to talk about how much he had grown since the time he was an intern on the show.
Later on, Krasinski shared a not-so-fun story about an interaction with an Office fan (or should we say, "hater"?).
Apparently, he went to a bar once and felt like "something was going to happen" (and sure enough, he was right).
A girl came up to John and asked him if he was on The Office. After receiving an affirmative answer, she said, "I don't watch it, so I don't care."
We wonder what was going through this girl's mind at that moment…
Then she introduced her friend Sarah who turned out to be a huge fan, and being the nice guy that he is, John talked to Sarah for a bit about her favorite The Office episode, only to get interrupted in the rudest way possible.
The "original" girl just stuck her fingers down the actor's throat out of the blue (maybe she really hated the aforementioned episode?), and he recalled having this "moment of complete surreality" when he couldn't even say anything.
Well, we don't blame him, that is practically assault!
The girl looked up at John and went, "Oh, I'm sorry, I just–" and walked away. How did she get away with it? Was this possibly a dare?
We might never know the answer to any of these questions.
After the incident, Krasinski simply walked out of the bar along with his friend and decided to "get a beer in the East Village."
He definitely needed that drink…
The star admitted that he still had no idea why the girl did what she did, and Conan suggested that it could have been the fan's strange way of testing if Krasinski was a real person standing in front of her.
The two agreed that this was then the "best-case scenario" – the girl could have "shived" John to see if he bled or something worse.
Still, this was definitely one of the weirdest fan interactions of all time, and we hope our beloved Jim never has to go through something like this ever again!
