One Of 'National Treasure' Stars Is Ready To Return In Spin-Off Series
Looks like one of the stars of original dilogy is returning to reprise his role! Justin Bartha's Riley Poole is officially back for Disney+ upcoming TV series.
Disney 's megahit Nicolas Cage-led history adventure film 'National Treasure' was released way back in 2004 and quickly amassed a cult following, with many fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter even 15 years later. In May of 2020, Disney announced their plans for rebooting their franchise for modern audiences, casting Lisette Alexis as Jess Morale, a young adventurer in search of a lost Pan-American treasure.
Fans were anxious to know if some of the original cast members would return, especially Nicolas Cage. Although the Oscar-winning star is still not involved in filming (and probably won't be), fans can rejoice over Justin Bartha's sarcastic hacker returning to guest-star in the upcoming show. Actor, famous for his turns in 'The Hangover' trilogy and Paramount +'s 'The Good Wife ', won't play a big part in the series, but his presence would certainly add some levity.
'National Treasure' is currently in pre-production, with no official premier date revealed.
