One House of the Dragon Character is Too Powerful to Ignore (And Yet, That's What We Do)
It would be a great mistake to let her prophecy slide unnoticed ever again.
One of many characters House Of The Dragon fans are hoping to see more of in the future season is Helaena.
The only daughter of King Viserys I Targaryen by his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower, she was the one to inherit the gift of seeing prophecies, one of which would come to life right at the time of her brother's coronation ceremony.
As Helaena warned everyone to "beware the beast beneath the boards", no one expected to see the dragon coming from the pit right beneath the hall's floor.
Although Rhaenys' emergence on the Meleys' back caught everyone in shock, fans suggest Helaena knew a bit more than viewers had directly seen.
"If you look at her expression, to me that doesn't read as someone fearful for their life, or at least not in the same way as Aemond's is.
I believe that Helaena knows that they're not going to die from Meleys that day," Redditor Giallo_Schlock said, pointing out how Helaena looks more inspired rather than scared at the scene.
Others seem to agree, pointing out the gentle caress Helaena makes to her brother Aemond's arm.
Again, the gesture just doesn't seem fearful, but instead looks like an effort to comfort him and advise him there's no immediate danger for them.
In the eyes of the fans, the whole scene has been directed in a way to show the viewers how strong the Greens' bond is.
One moment we see Aemond stepping up to protect his sister, Alicent running to her other son Aegon, and Otto, being the eldest of the family, trying to command the city watch.
As Rhaenys spares them all at the end and leaves for Dragonstone to join the Blacks, Helaena's prophecy has come to life exactly how she knew it.
Fans shall hope for showrunners to explore her gift more in season 2, which is rumored to come no earlier than 2024.
