Fans’ only hope is for the Costume department to do better in season 2.

There are many things about House of The Dragon that have captured the attention of viewers and made them want to see more in season 2, but one thing for sure seems to need a lot of improvement: the wigs and costumes.

Even though the show was awarded by the BAFTA for Best Hair and Make-up, it doesn't sit well with the fans.

Not even the most loyal fans could say that either the costumes or the wigs that the show used in season 1 were flawless. Sure, a lot of work went into the wigs, as we already know from interviews with various cast members how long it took to put them on.

However, dry ends and messy edges led viewers to not take the Targaryen stylists very seriously.

What's worse is that while the main characters had different dresses and suits to fit the current stages of their lives, some side characters were so sidetracked that their appearance didn't change once in 16 years of season 1.

Corlys Velaryon was supposed to be not only the commander of the most powerful fleet in Westeros, but also the head of the richest house.

If he had wanted, he could have had the most beautiful fabrics and luxurious gems to complete his appearance, but it turns out that in the eyes of the House of The Dragon costume department, it was okay to give him just one suit.

Not just one suit to wear for 16 years, but a rather boring and modest one, as if no thought had been put into it.

While some fans are willing to turn a blind eye to this obvious mistake and pretend that Lord Corlys has a similar fashion sense to Steve Jobs, who famously wore the same outfit for years, others are too tired to forgive the show and demand more attention from the production team.

To see if season 2 of House of The Dragon will improve the quality of the hair and costumes, we will have to wait and see. There is no news on when it will be released, so keep an eye out to not miss a thing.
