Most A-listers are thankful for their breakthrough movie, no matter how badly it has aged over time. This actor is not one of them.

You might have guessed it, but we are talking about Robert Pattinson and his lack of love for the Twilight franchise.

After the Twilight renaissance of the past few years, Pattinson may have admitted that he is not as opposed to the saga as he once was, but back in the day, he trashed Twilight like no other hater ever could.

In a 2022 interview for People, Pattinson was actually more supportive of the movies than ever when Zoe Kravitz said that she had never seen them (though, she had quickly corrected herself later).

The actor commented, "It's not even cool to be a hater anymore" (oh, you are one to talk, Robert). We are glad to hear that!

The film adaptations of the vampire saga are the reason Robert Pattinson has a career at all. Before landing the role of Edward Cullen, he wanted to quit acting altogether. Surprised?

Pattinson famously appeared as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and many thought that was just the beginning for this aspiring star.

In reality, Robert struck out audition after audition, and it got to the point where he was seriously considering quitting – simply because he never got any jobs.

Thankfully, three years later, Twilight came along, and the world found out about Robert Pattinson and never forgot him again. He should really be more grateful to the saga than he is, right?

Since Twilight, the actor has gone on to star in numerous successful movies (and he hasn't been afraid to take on some pretty daring roles!).

2019's The Lighthouse definitely made sure that he wasn't just Edward anymore, and 2022's The Batman only solidified that.

With the Twilight remake underway and Pattinson feeling warmer to the saga, can we dare to hope that Robert makes a cameo appearance in the reboot? It's a long shot, but we have a right to dream!
