You won't think being a vampire is that cool after considering this little detail.

There are many advantages to being a vampire, a cool, sparkly glow without any makeup is just one of them. But there are just as many disadvantages.

Of course, every Twilight reader can understand and appreciate Edward's concern for Bella and not wanting to turn her into one. But not many understand all the reasons.

Naturally, there are some heavier burdens that the vampire would have to deal with, such as the thirst for blood and eternal life.

However, anyone would most likely be driven mad much sooner than a hundred years from now with the everyday little hardships that are unavoidable.

Have you ever thought about vampire hearing in everyday life? Well, you'd get a pretty rough welcome back to reality when you enter your own home.

Being able to hear everything that goes on behind closed doors is more of a curse than a blessing. And if the house was bad, you don't have to imagine how public transportation or grocery shopping would be.

Vampires are also known to be very good at smelling people. But if you give it a thought, that would include everything about humans, so going to the gym would be a real ordeal for these creatures too.

Not to mention going near public restrooms or large groups of teenage boys, if they don't want to wash off the smell of Axe for days straight.

Edward, as well as all the other Cullens, did a pretty good job of hiding their disgust if this was what they had to deal with on a daily basis over the years.

Forced to integrate into human society, they'd have to learn how to deal with all those feelings and overwhelming stimuli, none of which are remotely pleasant.

When you think about it, you can't help but applaud the Cullens for being so patient and sticking it out until they're used to it. Still, you can't deny that these struggles would make for a great comedic story in their own right.

LionsgateTV, take notes, this is sure to make the reboot ten times more entertaining!
