One Character General Hospital Will Never Get Enough Of Torturing

There is no such thing as too much drama in a soap. The more drama there is, the more chances there are to keep viewers hooked. With so many characters, there is a favorite for everyone, so if they are all involved in something scary, sketchy, or spicy, no one is going to be bored with the show.

However, there are some characters that are simply overused. Of course, it's very tempting to make an actress cry over and over again if she's good at it, as the constant suffering of a character boosts the show's ratings. But there's a limit to everything, and General Hospital is about to cross it with Sasha.

Sasha Corbin, formerly known to viewers as Sasha Gilmore, is a character who appeared in Port Charles in 2018 and was revealed to have been hired by Valentin Cassadine to pose as Nina Reeves' daughter.

She quickly became popular with the show's viewers, partly because of the wonderful portrayal by Sofia Mattsson, and partly because of her relationship with Brando Corbin. General Hospital fans celebrated the couple's romance from beginning to end and mourned with Sasha over the death of her child and husband.

Baby Liam's death was the beginning of the endless torture that Sasha still has to endure, thanks to the writers of General Hospital. Not only did she lose her child in the NICU, which is an extremely traumatic event in itself, but she also fell victim to the dangerous combination of drugs and depression that led Brando to become her guardian.

After Brando's tragic death, Sasha had to deal with her mother-in-law, Gladys, becoming her guardian instead. What she didn't know was that Gladys had been losing her money in backroom poker games, making her life even more miserable.

Well, if the latest episodes of General Hospital are any indication, things may be getting better for Sasha… but not too much better, as her knight in shining armor seems to be Cody Bell — the same Cody who would throw his own father under the bus for a quick buck and who wouldn't tell her the truth about Gladys.

While a new romance might seem like a good thing for poor Sasha Corbin, at this point, fans don't think the writers are capable of coming up with anything but torture for the character.
