Old Guard to Come Back in Upcoming Jodie Whittaker 'Doctor Who' Finale
While it's still unknown who will replace Jodie Whittaker's Doctor in the Tardis, some details about Season 13 finale have been revealed.
In Jodie Whittaker 's final journey in the Tardis, she is set to be accompanied by a couple of former Doctor Who companions, some of whom were featured in the show before the 2005 relaunch.
Among the returning characters are Tegan Jovanka and Ace, portrayed by Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred respectively. Jovanka accompanied the Doctor between 1981 and 1984, and it looks like Fielding felt the nostalgia of the good old days.
"In some ways, it was a very different experience to what it was like when I finished recording in 1983, but in many ways, it was very similar," Fielding said in her official statement. "It was so lovely to be a working member of the Doctor Who family again."
Aldred, in her turn, surfed the galaxies and timelines alongside Sylvester McCoy's seventh Doctor from 1987 to 1989. She said it was "quite a challenge to have such a big secret to keep" and added she could not have been more "thrilled and excited to have been asked back."
You know who else is thrilled and excited about all the comebacks? Doctor Who fans – bold new ones and oldschool ones.
The oldschoolers even rolled out their recommendations for those who want to familiarize themselves with the golden cavalry.
Some people are even demanding a spin-off.
The 'Doctor Who' finale is set to air this fall, leaving fans in anticipation for the reveal of the new reincarnation of Doctor, as Jodie Whittaker is set to say her goodbyes.
