Networks are looking for loopholes to help them continue their work in fall.

It has now become more apparent how unserious the industry had been handling the Writers Guild of America strike, which erupted back in May. Many networks did not bother to revise their schedules for fall, and likewise, CBS expected to have all of its scripted shows back in their respective time slots.

But with the Screen Actors Guild joining the writers' strike and shutting down production on most scripted shows, there is not much certainty left. It's now expected that the unscripted productions will continue to air as scheduled, but when it comes to the scripted series, the networks will have to figure something out.

Industry pundits predicted that one of the solutions the networks could use is to move some of the shows from their sister streaming companies to air on television.

And while that might have been good news for series production teams at any other time, it just shows that the networks are willing to survive on reruns and streaming-only content in the midst of the strike. If anything, decisions like this only delay final negotiations and resolution.

For CBS, however, this decision could mean even higher ratings than before. Yellowstone will debut on the network on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, beginning with Season 1. Having such a popular show in prime time could do wonders for ratings.

Besides, considering all the spin-offs Taylor Sheridan 's neo-Western has, CBS has a lot of content to air before it runs out.
Some of the other shows that will be making their first appearances or glorious comebacks on television are SEAL Team, FBI True, and Ghosts. All of these series will be mixed in with game and survival series to fill the fall time slots.

Although some viewers would still miss CBS staples like NCIS and Blue Bloods, they would be entertained enough to not really care about the ongoing strikes.

Keep an eye out to see how other networks handle their fall schedules and make sure you do not miss any important strike updates!
