Norman Reedus Teases Multiple Deaths in The Walking Dead Finale
With The Walking Dead series coming to an end within the next week or so there is a question on everyone's mind: how will it end exactly?
EW has talked to the show's producers and core cast about what the fans should expect from the final episode of the 11 year-long franchise which is set to air on November 20. So here're some teasers for you.
Norman Reedus who inhabited the Daryl Dixon character in the series for more than ten years straight, dropped somewhat of a teaser saying that some of the final moments will be quite emotional, jokingly adding that "everybody will die."
"There are certain moments that are super sad. And then there are certain moments that are like, 'F--- yeah, that's the group!' There will be people yelling 'Come on!' There will be lots of that sort of screaming at the television kind of stuff. We went big on the last eight episodes, so there's a lot of adrenaline. There's a lot of emotion. There's a lot of fear."
The Boondock Saints actor also said that we'll see all of the things that one would normally want to have in a finale.
Unlike Reedus, Josh McDermitt who played the role of Eugene Porter did not tease anything specific. The actor just said that he hopes the finale would satisfy the most devoted fans who get together as a family to watch the epic AMC franchise.
"I've heard people in their 80s talk about watching this show with their grandkids, and it brings people together. So to watch the finale, I hope that whatever reason they're watching it for, that we do it justice and we satisfy them to the point that they came away and said, 'I'm really happy I invested 11 seasons into this show…'," McDermitt said.
Angela Kang, The Walking Dead exec producer, has built upon the family narrative saying that the final episodes will bring us to tears – something which is in a typical Walking Dead fashion. It will also bring warmth because the show is, in a lot of ways, about family and found family.
Greg Nicotero, who helmed the finale of the series, promised it will be emotional, sometimes funny and peppered with gore.
"A little bit more than we usually do, which I know a lot of people like," the director said.
And chief content officer Scott M. Gimple has teased a very intense ending similar to the second episode of Season 6.
There are only two episodes left before AMC's The Walking Dead series comes to an end. So, gear up for the grand finale on November 20 and get ready for a handful of spinoffs in the future!
