The reviews seem to be rather negative, but the fans think it is too early to lose all hope.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the final film in the adventures of the legendary archaeologist starring Harrison Ford, was unveiled yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival, and the first reviews have finally arrived.

But apparently what was supposed to be a satisfying farewell to the beloved character ended up being a complete flop.

Fans were stunned to see that despite their hopes, the reviews for the film don't seem to be good at all.

The Telegraph gave it only 2 out of 5 stars and completely destroyed the movie in their review, calling it "a shabby counterfeit."

The situation on Rotten Tomatoes is not great either, with Dial of Destiny scoring only 50% from critics based on 8 reviews.

They call it tame and unnecessary, and simply lacking in joy, so it seems that James Mangold, who already gave us a perfect farewell movie to another character with his 2017 Logan, failed to recreate the magic.

While fans are surprised by such a negative reception, they also make some pretty convincing arguments as to why it is too early to lose all hope for the Indie's final adventure.

The Telegraph, for example, gave the same score to the recent Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which ended up being absolutely praised by audiences who loved the movie.

And the same can be said for other critics, as their judgment is rather subjective.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie also only got 59% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, who called it mediocre and not fun, just like they now call The Dial of Destiny, and the movie turned out to be a smash hit with audiences, scoring 96% and becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

Obviously, the critics' reviews can't be completely trusted, and fans feel that they should wait for the official release and see for themselves. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released on June 30, 2023.
