It’s time to plan a celebratory rewatch.

Though there are plenty of great anime fish scattered across various streaming services, including those created specifically for fans of the genre, it's always nice to see your favorite show come full circle and return to Netflix after a 3-year hiatus.

Haikyu!! is a comforting show for many anime fans, the story of following your dreams against all odds and making friends along the way. When it fell victim to content rotation in 2021, viewers were devastated. But the good news is in: Haikyu!! will return very soon.

When Will Haikyu!! Be Back on Netflix?

Starting April 1, 2024, the most famous slice-of-life sports anime is coming back to Netflix. The streaming platform will bring back the first season of the series for its viewers to enjoy. But don't worry, the second season will follow shortly after, as it will also be added sometime in 2024.

Based on the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series by Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! follows the small and slender but extremely dedicated Shoyo Hinata, who would do anything to make it in volleyball. This is a series about a young heart with a big dream, and how much harder the fight would have been without a trustworthy support system.

Through the ups and downs that inevitably happen to anyone involved in any sport, Hinata grows stronger and leads his team to find their confidence and succeed.

For many people who have found strength thanks to this inspirational story, the news of its return to Netflix, always available for a pick-me-up rewatch, is already the biggest gift of 2024. However, that’s not all of the surprises coming your way.

Not only will Netflix now be streaming the series itself, but they will also be adding two more movies to it. Haikyu!!! Movie 3: Genius and Sense and Haikyu!!! Movie 4: Battle of Concepts, both released in 2017, will be available on April 1. So if you don't have much time, but want to dive back into the volleyball universe of Haikyu!!, be sure to check them out.

Aside from Haikyu!!, April will see the addition of 4 more anime series and 2 more movies, so if you are a fan of the genre, be sure to keep an eye out for more exciting news and important updates from Netflix.
